1. Introduction

Welcome to Emotional Downshift, the stress and nervous-system regulation practice of Alissa Lang Ltd. By using this website and our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the site.

2. Nature of the Service

Emotional Downshift provides stress and nervous-system regulation coaching, delivered as one-to-one sessions and self-paced programmes. It is not therapy, counselling, or medical care. We do not diagnose or treat any condition, and we do not give medical or hormone advice. For anything clinical, please consult your GP or a qualified professional. You remain responsible for your own health and decisions.

3. Use of the Website

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use this website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to use the site in any way that could harm it or its availability.

4. Eligibility

Our services are intended for users aged 18 and over.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, programmes, and materials, including the Emotional Downshift method, are the property of Alissa Lang Ltd. They are licensed to you for your own personal use only. You may not copy, share, resell, or distribute programme materials without our explicit permission.

6. Booking and Payment

When you book a session or purchase a programme, you confirm you are legally able to enter into a binding contract and will provide accurate information. All prices are in GBP and include any applicable taxes. Payment is taken at the time of booking or purchase, through our payment provider, unless otherwise agreed.

7. Delivery of Services

Sessions are delivered live, online or in person as agreed. Self-paced programmes are delivered electronically, by giving you access to the materials. We provide services only; there are no physical products.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Sessions: please reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before your session for a full refund or credit. Sessions cancelled with less notice, or missed, are not refundable.
Self-paced programmes: you have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase, unless you have begun accessing the content, at which point that right ends (you will be asked to agree to this at checkout).

9. Results

Regulation work depends on your own engagement, and outcomes vary from person to person. We do not guarantee any specific result.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alissa Lang Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of this website or our services. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Significant changes will be notified to you by email or a notice on our website.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
